While this is not a native it does fill a spot. Also, I have a tendency late in the summer to rescue for sale plants to fill empty spots in my garden.
I love my elderberry bush. I did plant this and it is native. I love these flowers and at times they smell like heaven. Apparently, this plant loved the rather aggressive pruning I gave it last fall because it is covered in blooms this year.
Okay so it’s a buttercup but I love them.
